About This Position
The seasonal production assistant supports the Seattle Storm’s production team capturing and producing content, included but not limited to gamedays, events, and other team initiatives to showcase the Seattle Storm culture and brand. ?This will be a seasonal part-time role, to last through the regular WNBA season and potential playoffs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to shoot high quality video in a fast-paced sports environment
- Edit and deliver video content for multiple platforms including social media, broadcast, video board, and more
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop platform-specific, on-trend, consistent, and high-quality video content
- Edit promotional and branded content for campaigns and tentpole events (e.g., Commissioners Cup, All-Star, Awards, etc)
- Log and archive footage in a timely and consistent manner
- Maintain brand consistency and editorial standards across all content
- Stay current with trends in sports media, social video, and editing techniques to keep content timely and relevant
- Design on-brand static graphics in support of marketing initiatives across social media platforms
- Edit and adapt existing graphic templates for different platforms, sizes and use cases as needed
- Develop working relationships that demonstrate trust to help elevate the Seattle Storm and individual brands
- Work all Storm home game, while capturing the gameday experience of our players and fans at Climate Pledge Arena
Additional Responsibilities include the following.
- Strong knowledge of basketball and the WNBA preferred
- Ability to manage time between small and quick projects that have quick turnaround times, to being able to focus and drive to bigger and larger projects.

Education:
Associates
Related experience:
1-3 years’ experience in video production with a fast-paced sports organization or similar industry
Strong knowledge of Adobe Cloud suite, specifically Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.
COMPETENCIES:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to show you’re a self-starter who works well in a team environment to collaborate with other departments.
Take initiative, ownership, and responsibility to see assigned projects from start to completion.
Quick learner who can learn and adapt to new organizational processes.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing business demands, including working most weekends during the season (May – Oct).
technical Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and proven experience shooting with Sony mirrorless camera and advanced production equipment. Knowledge of camera, lighting, sound and editing. Understanding the online video environment and online distribution. Ability to adapt equipment setup and provide alternative setup or workarounds if necessary.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; carry and operate camera rigs. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Compensation: $21.30/hr
