About This Position

Description:

Position Summary: Coordinates functions connecting the

Hospital District with the community. Arranges advertising

with local media for the Hospital District. Work with

Administration, Department Managers and Medical Staff for

needs for the Hospital District. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and retaining referrals from market physicians and referral sources for primary service lines and promoting EMHD services. Tracks provider referral patterns and implements programs aimed at influencing these referral patterns. Facilitates the retention of provider relationships, growth of new service line business and other sales and referral development responsibilities as an extension of hospital leadership consistent with the hospital's overall functioning and established organizational goals.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

1. Education: Associate or higher degree in business, management, or a related field preferred.

2. Personal Job-Related Skills: Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills.

3. Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required.

4. Prior Work Experience: 3 years preferred

5. Technical Training: None required.

6. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require intermittent walking, sitting, and standing. Some bending, stooping, and reaching is required with the lifting of items up to 40 pounds.

Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:

A. Work with Administration on meetings, events, or any event that may tie into the community with the Hospital District.

1. Work up the advertising for each event.

2. Make arrangements needed for each event.

B. Compile and analyze reports, and statistics.

C. Compose letters/memorandums.

D. Coordinate meetings, schedules.

E. Research, plan, organize and manage resources.

F. Understand healthcare services, utilization, and market data.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS:

A. Maintain HIPAA required and all other confidentiality

while working with confidential matters on a daily

basis.

B. Follow safety guidelines and policies for the hospital district.

C. Driving will be required.

D. Other duties, as assigned by supervisor.

Work Schedule:

Work schedule will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 60 minute lunch break. On occasion evening hours will be required to complete projects. Hours will correlate with current projects related to the job. Keep Administrator abreast of schedule and projects and deadlines.
