PROJECT COORDINATOR
JOB POSTING
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through to completion. This role will work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Coordination & Administration
- Support Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Assist with project setup, including permits, insurance, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up on project-related items.
- Assist in resolving project issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the company brand and vision in a professional manner.
Project Controls & Process
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, schedules, and cost reports.
- Track and update project progress using project management software.
- Support forecasting and reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Help ensure accuracy and completeness of project data.
- Support implementation of project management processes and tools.
Cost Management & Financial Oversight
- Assist with project estimates and budgeting.
- Support tracking and control of project costs.
- Assist in reviewing project forecasts and financial reporting.
- Support procurement and cost tracking activities.
Governance, Standards, and Compliance
- Ensure project documentation complies with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality control and safety documentation processes.
- Assist in maintaining project records for audits and closeout.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and risk awareness.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination (preferred).
- Familiarity with construction processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as needed.
WORK ENVIROMENT
This role will initially focus on active construction projects across the BC Interior, with future project assignments in various locations throughout BC and Alberta. Candidates must be open to working out of town based on project requirements.
