Status: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE | 40 Hrs/Wk

Hiring Range: $28.00 - $34.66 per hour

We’re looking for a skilled Medical Coder & Biller with oncology experience to join our team and play a key role in supporting accurate, compliant, and efficient revenue cycle operations.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll take ownership of coding and billing processes that directly impact patient care and organizational success. You will:

  • Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for oncology services, including hematology conditions, chemotherapy, infusions, and immunotherapy
  • Review provider documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Prepare and submit clean claims, reducing denials and optimizing reimbursement
  • Investigate and resolve claim denials, including managing appeals through final determination
  • Conduct infusion billing audits, ensuring proper documentation of drug usage and waste
  • Track coding trends and identify compliance risks, recommending improvements
  • Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and finance teams to support seamless revenue cycle operations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for coding, billing practices, and payer requirements
  • Support patient-centered service by helping resolve billing questions with professionalism and empathy

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of medical coding and accounts receivable experience in oncology, or a CHONC credential
  • 2+ years of experience performing patient account review, investigation, and resolution
  • Strong knowledge of oncology coding, payer guidelines, and reimbursement processes
  • Experience with EHR systems and electronic claims submission
  • Proven ability to analyze documentation and resolve complex billing issues
  • A commitment to compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement
