Job Description

Physician Assistant - Orthopedics

Signature Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Orthopedic team. The PA will provide high quality, patient-centered care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with orthopedic surgeons, residents, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Responsibilities:

· Perform comprehensive orthopedic evaluations, histories, and physical exams

· Assist in the operating room for orthopedic surgical procedures

· Manage pre- and post-operative care, including inpatient rounding and discharge planning

· Order and interpret diagnostic studies (X-ray, MRI, CT, labs)

· Perform procedures such as joint injections, splinting, casting, and wound care

· Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences and patient education

· Serve as First call 7-6 during hospital shift coverage

Manage your own patient panel in clinic

Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

· BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)

· Orthopedic, surgical, or hospital experience preferred (new graduates with strong interest in orthopedics will be considered)

· Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills

Schedule:

· Fulltime

· 4 day work week (No night time or weekend call)
