Coder 3 in Shreveport, Louisiana at Willis-Knighton Health System

The Health Information Department is seeking an Inpatient Coder. The position requires the ability to code inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding rules and guidelines as well as an understanding of MS-DRG's.

A RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC or CPC-H credential is required with completion of a Medical Terminology course. One year's experience in a Health Information Department is desired.

Upon hiring, the candidate will be required to attend an orientation session. This requirement must be met before beginning work in the department.
