Wage Range: $23.72 - $37.95per hour
15% Per Diem pay.
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:
Provides entry level professional medical and administrative help for ophthalmologist in a clinical setting. Works under general supervision.
Primary Duties
- Greets and rooms patients per organizational standards. Takes patient history.
- Performs basic and routine vision screening examinations and records visual acuity.
- Educates patients on eye care, contact lens care and in preparation for surgical procedures.
- Manages and administers eye medications as indicated per provider orders.
- Restocks and cleans exam rooms after patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIREDfor the position:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- WA State Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire. (Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification can be substituted.
- Must obtain JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within one year of hire.
- 6 months of experience working in an optometry or ophthalmology practice
- General knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, medical terminology, sterilization techniques and basic eye care.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
DESIREDfor the position:
- Previous Certified Ophthalmic Assistant experience
This position works out of multiple locations.
