Job Description
Folsom Lake Nissan is hiring Sales Consultants to join our team and represent the dealership on the showroom floor. We sell vehicles the way customers wish all dealerships did — with transparency, speed, and a customer-first experience. We're looking for people who want to build a real career in automotive retail, not just punch a clock.
What You’ll Do• Greet customers, qualify their needs, and guide them through the vehicle selection process
• Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle features, technology, and value
• Present pricing, financing options, and protection products clearly and honestly
• Follow up consistently with prospects and past customers to build a long-term book of business
• Maintain accurate CRM records and respond promptly to internet leads, calls, and walk-ins
• Deliver a customer experience that earns top CSI scores and drives repeat and referral business
CompensationBase hourly wage plus a transparent, performance-based commission plan that includes:
• Retroactive per-unit commissions that escalate with monthly volume
• Back-end bonus commissions on F&I gross that scale with volume
• CSI bonus tied to customer satisfaction scores at or above district benchmark
• Per-product bonuses on Vehicle Service Contracts, Maintenance Contracts, and GAP
• Mid-month draws against anticipated commissions; reconciled monthly
Realistic Earnings (annualized):
• Ramp-up performer (5–10 units/mo): $45,000–$60,000
• Solid performer (10–14 units/mo): $60,000–$85,000
• Top performer (15–20+ units/mo): $90,000–$120,000+
Full compensation plan, including all per-unit and bonus tier details, is reviewed and shared during the interview process.
Requirements• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong communication skills and genuine interest in helping customers
• Coachable, competitive, and willing to follow a defined sales process
• Reliable attendance, including weekends and some evenings (standard dealership schedule)
• Comfortable with technology: CRM systems, digital retailing tools, and AI tools we use daily
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen required
• Prior automotive sales experience is a plus but not required — we provide full training
