Crouse’s In-Patient Physical Rehabilitation department provides personalized, high-quality, cost-effective evaluation and treatment to people with physical and/or speech related impairments. The In-Patient Physical Rehabilitation team is looking to hire a Physical Therapist to work [schedule].

Pay Range: based on verified education and experience

Physical Therapist Position Responsibilities:

• Professionally evaluates patients with a variety of problems and ages from birth to geriatrics.
• Competently establishes treatment programs, which meet the functional needs of the patient, caregivers, and in keeping with the age and social needs of the patient and care givers.
• Sets goals that are reasonable to achieve, meets the needs and are understood by the patient and caregivers using the same tools that would be available if the patient were at home.
• Treats patients that have been evaluated by themselves or other therapists.
• Provides timely and accurate notes and documentation as required.
• Consistently uses safe treatment techniques to avoid injury to the patient and staff. Understands the steps to take should an injury take place.
• Ensures that the patient /care givers have the necessary information, equipment, and services in place prior to discharge.

Physical Rehabilitation Position Requirements:

• Currently licensed as a Physical Therpist in New York State
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire.
