Full Time,
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Days off: Wednesday and Saturday)
*Flexibility required, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours.

Requirements:About the Role
Elephants Delicatessen is looking for a skilled, reliable Production Prep Cook to join our team at the Milwaukie Kitchen — a USDA certified production facility. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of food items following established recipes, production standards, USDA compliance requirements, and food safety protocols. Working in a USDA certified environment means upholding the highest standards for food safety, documentation, and sanitation on every shift. What You’ll Do
- Prepare ingredients (chopping, mixing, washing, portioning, etc.) accurately and to spec
- Complete all assigned production by required deadlines, meeting quality, quantity, taste, and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout every shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and USDA compliance protocols, including proper storage, cross-contamination prevention, and equipment maintenance
- Complete daily task lists and all required production documentation, including USDA-mandated logs, temperature records, and sanitation checklists
- Communicate production needs and priorities with team members and supervisors
- Maintain proper inventory rotation and stock levels
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen
- Proficient knife skills with consistent safety practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes, production lists, food safety procedures, and USDA compliance requirements
- Basic math skills for measuring, portioning, and recording data
- Reliability, accountability, and a collaborative mindset
