This role owns paid media performance management end-to-end—from strategy and testing approach through hands-on campaign build, optimization, and performance reporting. The role regularly exercises independent judgment in determining optimization approach, testing priorities, and spend adjustments (within approved thresholds) to improve acquisition outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Campaign Execution, Performance Ownership & Optimization
- Own end-to-end paid media performance across Google Ads, Meta, Reddit, OTT/streaming services, and emerging platforms as the mix evolves—including campaign architecture, targeting approach, bidding strategy, and optimization methodology.
- Execute hands-on campaign builds and updates in-platform while maintaining accountability for performance governance (budget pacing, audience segmentation, bid strategy, ad scheduling, and creative setup/rotation).
- Steward media investment by making day-to-day optimization decisions within established budget guardrails and providing ongoing recommendations on budget allocation across channels, audiences, and markets based on performance and forecasted return.
- Authorized to reallocate spend across campaigns/channels/markets within approved thresholds to respond to performance and market conditions; escalates for approval when changes exceed thresholds or materially impact financial commitments, brand risk, or strategic direction.
- Partner with the Digital Manager to define and own a structured testing roadmap covering audience targeting, creative, messaging, formats, placements, and offer strategy.
- Design statistically valid test plans (hypotheses, success metrics, and learning agenda) and manage flight schedules around promotions and business initiatives.
- Partner with the Analytics team to maintain performance dashboards and measurement views that translate campaign data into clear, prioritized recommendations for stakeholders.
- Activate CRM and first-party audience data across paid media platforms, improving targeting precision as third-party cookie reliance decreases.
- Own pixel/tag governance and UTM hygiene to ensure clean, reliable attribution data across all campaigns, and drive adherence to measurement standards across stakeholders.
- Support list segmentation and suppression strategies to reduce wasted spend and improve funnel efficiency.
- Contribute to creative briefs for paid media assets, using performance data to inform copy angles, formats, and audience-specific messaging.
- Monitor landing page performance and collaborate on conversion rate improvements, connecting paid traffic strategy to post-click experience and funnel performance.
- Use AI-powered tools to accelerate ad copy iteration, audience research, and performance analysis—treating AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement for strategic judgment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field; or equivalent experience required
- 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager; familiarity with additional platforms (Reddit, programmatic, OTT) a plus
- Strong analytical capability—comfortable working in dashboards, interpreting data, and building recommendations from it
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and first-party audience activation (experience with Zoho, Customer.io, or similar is a plus)
- Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and landing page performance principles
- Demonstrated comfort using AI tools in a professional workflow
- Strong project management, attention to detail, and high ownership from strategy through execution and continuous improvement
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand consumer decision journeys
