As a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice, youll work alongside experienced technicians to install, maintain, and support fire protection systems on commercial and residential job sites. This is a hands-on, field-based role where youll build valuable trade skills that can turn into a long-term career.
How You Will Make an ImpactAssist with installation of fire sprinkler systems, including pipe hanging and layout
Measure, cut, thread, and groove pipe
Install hangers, supports, and seismic bracing
Support system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting
Assist with valve installs, trim work, and basic system components
Load, unload, and organize tools and materials on job sites
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety procedures and job site protocols
Read and interpret basic blueprints and sprinkler layouts (or willingness to learn)
Support shop work, material prep, and general labor as needed
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, climbing, standing for long periods)
Reliable transportation to job sites
Basic mechanical aptitude or construction interest
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Prior experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical trades
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings
