Shop/Yard Assistant at Cascade Fence and Deck – Vancouver, Washington

This role is the engine behind the projects our crews build every day.

Our shop and yard team keeps jobs organized, trucks loaded, materials staged, and the yard running smoothly so our field crews can perform at a high level.

You’ll work alongside a couple hardworking guys who believe work can be productive and enjoyable.

This role is a great place to start if you're in high school, Running Start, or early in your career and want to earn a paycheck while gaining real-world experience. Many people in our company started in roles like this and grew into larger opportunities.

Help unload and load crew trucks each day
Stage job packs and materials for upcoming projects
Keep the yard and shop clean and organized
Sweep, take out garbage, and maintain workspaces
Assist with welding and fabrication of gates and specialty products
Operate forklifts and move materials safely

Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 60 lbs regularly
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Reliability and willingness to hustle
Ability to stay organized and follow systems
Comfort working outdoors and being physically active
Ability to pass a drug test

No prior experience is required. We’re happy to train someone who brings the right attitude and effort.

$18 - $28 per hour depending on experience
Paid time off (approximately 1 - 3 weeks depending on tenure)
