Position Summary:
UNM Health Sciences is seekingan Education and Development Manager to implement, grow, and evaluate Pre-Health Institute programs at the UNM Health Sciences Rio Rancho Campus(HSRR).

This role combines program operationsand development, community engagement, data analysis, and data-informeddecision-making to support and contribute to the UNM Health Science Center'smajor strategic goal of doubling the healthcare workforce. This role will be integralto the development and success of the Pre-Health Institute initiative at theHSC Rio Rancho Campus. As the Education and Development manager, this role willwork directly with high school, undergraduate, and post-baccalaureate students,as well as, senior leadership and community leaders. This role will alsosupport campus leadership with rural and tribal outreach.

The Education and DevelopmentManager will collaborate closely with HSRR leadership to oversee theimplementation and daily operations of existing programs while alsocontributing to the design and launch of new initiatives. The Pre-HealthInstitute and its leadership team operate in a dynamic, fast-movingenvironment, requiring adaptability, strategic thinking, and a proactiveapproach to program development. Data analysisand reporting is an important part of this position. The designing, collecting,analyzing, and writing reports on program effectiveness will be utilized in theDirector's reporting to the HSC Executive VP office and other senior leaders.This position will involve collaborating and building relationships with UNMHSC programs and community members.

The Rio Rancho campus consistsof over 200 acres in the City Center of Rio Rancho. The campus currently hostsSRMC, The Center of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, and theoriginal "building one." The HSRR Campus is a unique, comfortable, andwelcoming space and culture. Current programs in Building One include UNMCollege of Nursing, an outpatient behavioral health clinic, the Pre-HealthScholars Certificate, Pre-Health Institute, and a unique collaboration with CNMfor a Medical Assistant certification program. The new and innovative UNMPre-Health Institute consists of programming focused on strengthening thepreparation and success of students pursing health careers.

• Ability and experience inworking with leadership within brainstorming context, working with leadership'sideas to draft concepts and work collaboratively with leadership in developmentand implementation
• Skill in organizing resourcesand establishing priorities
• Knowledge of health careersand the pathways to the careers
• Experience and skills inmentoring
• Experience and ability todraft grant applications and manage grant-supported programs including reporting requirements
