Job Description

We’re looking for Food Service Workers who are excited to support nutrition and well-being through safe, quality food preparation. In this role, you’ll help prepare and serve meals for patients and staff, portion food correctly, maintain kitchen and dishwashing cleanliness, and ensure proper food storage and sanitation. We value attention to detail, cleanliness, and teamwork—and we’re excited to welcome caring, dependable team members to our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Portion and serve food for patients and staff

• Maintain department sanitation and dishwashing

• Store food and supplies safely

• Follow all safety and cleanliness protocols

• Perform other food service–related duties as assigned

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our Food & Nutrition Services team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Must complete a Basic Food Handler's Course in California within 30 days of hire

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language

• Ability to follow and comprehend written and verbal instructions

• Experience in quality food production in a hospital or similar facility is desirable, but not required

• Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
