About the Role

The Warehouse Manager for Conti LLC’s Road & Infrastructure Division oversees warehouse and yard operations that directly support heavy civil construction, roadway, and infrastructure projects. This role ensures the efficient handling, storage, staging, and distribution of construction materials, equipment parts, tools, and consumables critical to field operations.

the Warehouse Manager is expected to be hands-on within the warehouse and yard, including safely operating forklifts and material-handling equipment as needed to support daily operations. The role emphasizes safety, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and proactive support of project schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations in construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, staging, loading, and unloading construction materials and equipment.
• Forklift operation experience, including safe handling of oversized, palletized, and bulk construction materials.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising warehouse and yard personnel in a fast-paced, jobsite-driven environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting road, highway, asphalt, concrete, or utilities construction projects.
• OSHA-compliant forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, DOT regulations, and construction site safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and yard operations including receiving, storage, staging, picking, loading, and distribution of construction materials, tools, and equipment parts.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required to support operations, troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks, and assist staff during peak demand.
• Ensure all forklift operations comply with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and equipment capacity limits.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including bulk materials, specialty items, and select international suppliers, ensuring compliance with logistics and customs requirements.
• Utilize WMS and inventory systems to track inventory levels, manage reorder points, and ensure materials are available to meet project and jobsite needs.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, equipment managers, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate material delivery.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and material-handling equipment, reporting maintenance needs and enforcing preventive care practices.
• Maintain accurate records, perform cycle counts, and support audits to ensure inventory accuracy and cost control.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on knowledge of forklift operation, load balancing, and safe material movement in warehouse and yard environments.
• Expertise in warehouse operations and inventory control supporting heavy civil construction.
• Ability to operate and oversee the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and construction-focused inventory tracking.
• Strong leadership skills with a safety-first mindset and the ability to lead by example.
• Understanding of supply chain and distribution processes within road and infrastructure construction operations.
