About This Position

Description:

Experienced project manager who shares in our commitment to deliver high-quality projects on time and under budget and strives to exceed client expectations while maximizing profits. The Project Manager assumes primary responsibility for the overall management, completion, and financial outcome of multiple retail construction projects. The ideal candidate will be creative, self-motivating, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing all project resources through the lifecycle of the project. This includes establishing and updating project budgets and schedules as well as collaborating with estimating to win work. Groom project managers are responsible for supporting and maintaining client relationships and establishing new opportunities.
  • Aside from typical project management duties i.e., contracts, subcontracts, submittals, RFI’s , purchase orders, managing trade partners, supporting the superintendent and field operations, we expect strong leadership from our PM’s on company culture, building safely with a “whatever it takes,” mentality
  • Manages risk, insurances, general work performance, and quality.
  • Must be able to work harmoniously in a team environment with both owners and project superintendents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and previous retail construction experience relative to project size/scope.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience with a commercial general contracting company
  • Retail construction experience a plus.
  • Construction estimating experience required.
  • Strong problem solving, emotional, organizational, communication, and computer skills (Procore, Excel, MS Project, Sage).
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative. Ability to quickly study and react to complex issues.
  • Drive for continuous personal and organizational improvement.
  • Some travel will be required.
