About This Position
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the outbound shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed, packaged, and shipped accurately and on time. This role works closely with warehouse staff, production teams, carriers, and customer service to maintain efficient shipping workflows and ensure compliance with company procedures and transportation regulations
Key Responsibilities and Percentages
Shipment Paperwork (Estimated 40% of job responsibility)
- Create paperwork necessary for all outbound shipmentIssue all pick tickets (sent by CSRs) for next day’s shipments to the warehouse personnel Compile next day’s shipping schedule
Shipment Scheduling (Estimated 40% of job responsibility)
- Schedule Kordsa routed shipments with approved carriersSchedule pickup times for customer routed shipments
Shipment Tracking (Estimated 20% of job responsibility)
- Track the status of all shipments to ensure on time pickups and deliveries
Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in an office environment but does spend time within the warehouse. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. In addition, this position requires forklift operation.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, this position requires the movement of packages, and physical cycle counts. This would require the ability to lift files, spare parts, and packages. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Required Education and Experience
2-3 years of shipping, logistics, warehouse operations experienceExperience preparing shipping documentation and coordinating with carriersBasic knowledge of inventory and warehouse operationsForklift experience, with ability to get forklift certification by KordsaBasic DOT Hazmat trainingModerate knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, S2K, Oracle, etc. Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office

5-7 years of shipping, logistics, warehouse operations experienceExperience with scheduling carriers, knowledge of FTL / LTL shipmentsWorking knowledge of international shipment documentationKnowledge of System 2000 (S2K)
