Overview
The Data & Logistics Technician reports to the Equipment and Yard Supervisor and is an Oracle specialist focusing on specific modules within the Oracle E-Business Suite of programs. The Data & Logistics Technician will provide technical expertise, records management, and data processing to support Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and manage maintenance systems as well as the other Oracle E-Business Suite modules. The Tech will also periodically travel to yard or field locations to gather or validate information, conduct transfers or conduct EAM-related training with field personnel.

This position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The Tech will be occasionally exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the drilling operations and rigs are located. The Tech must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations. They must be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days, and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays.

The Data & Logistics Technician will provide technical expertise, records management, and data processing to support Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and manage maintenance systems as well as the other Oracle E-Business Suite modules. The Tech will also periodically travel to yard or field locations to gather or validate information, conduct transfers or conduct EAM-related training with field personnel.
- Microsoft Office capabilities with a strong background in Excel with the ability to use spreadsheets for reporting, tracking and inventory control.
- Ability to source quotes related to trucking to establish best pricing and then able to submit the best pricing for PO approval while maintaining documentation backup to substantiate pricing decisions.
- Compose reports from EAM software and utilize to report upward on metrics involving assets, documentation, pictures and other pertinent related information on each asset.
- Coordinate the transfer of all material and equipment to designated work areas using Oracle EAM and hand software; and accurately update records to document action.
- Capture, collect and upload all photos and pertinent documents for capital assets and other critical inventory certifications.
- Gather Planned Inventory and Connectivity reports as well as other asset reports and records.
- Safely maneuver the forklift to move, load, and unload various materials.
- Complete asset inventories at the rig-up yard and third-party locations; research and reconcile errors and anomalies.
- Create and release work orders, and then complete and close work orders when appropriate with supporting documentation.
- Utilize record keeping and reporting process to identify existing assets without identification tagging numbers.
- Verify physical receipt of new orders, match and receive in the purchasing system.
- Research and provide receipt and location commentary on project invoices.
- Request asset numbers for newly purchased assets and track and reports on progress of labeling and tagging assets.
- Work with the appropriate teams or have the ability to change or modify EAM equipment records as required or requested.
- Update and report on EAM maintenance records, meters, and documents.
- Follow established guidelines procedures related to asset management, shipping and receiving protocols, safety procedures and best practices to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.

- Specific vision abilities required to include accurate close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus between near, far, overhead and moving objects.
- Clear vision to judge distances to maintain spatial awareness to watch and direct ongoing work activities of employees and third parties when needed in the performance of the job.
- Listen for any unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems.
- Accurately recall information over short and long-term memory
- Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
- Stay alert and remain focused even during occasional extended work periods.
- Demonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give and follow directions.
- Proficiency with written and email communication including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and comfort navigating through different software applications.
- Maintain Forklift and Manlift certification.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Familiarity with hand and power tools

- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other employees, customers and third parties.
- Ability to prioritize and work hard under pressure.
- Ability to travel to Vendor locations and other storage yards to verify and perform audits for asset reporting practices.
- Ability to work within a team dynamic but must be able to work alone within the team to complete assignments related to the team and individual goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel
- 2+ years of experience using computer systems to create and process work orders and track production data
- 1+ years of forklift experience
- 1+ years of experience in inventory control, familiar with structural steel and material test reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Oracle system(s)
- Possess basic knowledge of drilling equipment.
- Previous EAM Technician experience
- Basic knowledge of drilling rig components (i.e. engines, drawworks, mud pumps, top drives)
