Dish Washer Position Overview and Qualifications

The dishwasher plays a key role in maintaining a clean and efficient operation within our full-service restaurant. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all plates, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The dishwasher also assists with waste disposal and helps maintain a safe, organized dish area, contributing to a positive dining experience for guests.

· Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area and kitchen

· Dispose of waste according to restaurant policies and local regulations

· Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep or restocking as needed

· Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines

· Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management

· Previous experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred, but not required

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and handle multiple tasks

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Reliable and punctual with a positive team attitude

· Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

· Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
