POSITION SUMMARY

The Fleet & Operations Analyst leverages expertise in data analytics, forecasting, fleet management, and process automation to drive operational efficiency. This role is responsible for forecasting and tracking equipment and parts/purchases, managing nationwide asset demand, and monitoring inventory accuracy and pick efficiency. They will identify and mitigate excess and obsolete inventory while developing data models and visualizations to support informed decision-making. By combining supply chain, fleet management, and shop operations knowledge with strong analytical skills, this individual will streamline processes and improve cost-effectiveness across the organization.

COMPENSATION

This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Analyze end-to-end fleet/ops processes, including procurement, production, logistics, fleet and inventory management, and customer delivery to identify areas for improvement. Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, using Excel, Power BI, or other analytical tools to create models for predictive analytics and demand forecasting. Utilize your expertise in inventory management to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and improve overall inventory performance. Work with IT to develop automation (Robotic Process Automation, MS Flow, VBA, R, SQL, etc.) to enhance operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks, data analysis, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Operations, Fleet, Sales, IT and Logistics to understand and address their challenges efficiently. Collaborate with IT and Business Intelligence teams to integrate automation and inventory management solutions with existing systems and databases, ensuring smooth data flow and accurate information exchange. Provide training and support to help team members use/maintain any tools created. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends and make recommendations for adopting new solutions. Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners to leverage their expertise in implementing automation and inventory management projects. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies when handling sensitive supply chain and inventory information. Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

    2-5 years' experience in data analysis, fleet management, supply chain, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically and translate complex concepts into practical solutions. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong Excel skills, which include but are not limited to building forecasting models, performing analytics, using Power Query, and creating Pivot tables. Proficiency across the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, Access, Word).

NICE TO HAVE

    Proficiency in using Power BI or Sigma to create data visualizations. Additional coding familiarity (SQL, C+, R, python). A master's degree is a plus. Strong understanding of end-to-end fleet management or supply chain processes, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory lifecycle management. Understanding relational databases (APIs). Expertise in fleet management principles, techniques, and best practices. Expertise in inventory management, such as ABC analysis, setting safety stocks, min/maxes, demand forecasting, order replenishment strategies, slotting, and picking optimization. Experience working with ERP systems, PIM systems, or inventory/asset management platforms. Understanding data governance principles or master data management (MDM) with stakeholders at various levels.
