Nationwide Turf Installation, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, disciplined, and highly organized Shop Operations & Facilities Manager to step into a critical leadership role as our long-tenured manager prepares for retirement.
This position is responsible for leading all shop operations, fleet and heavy equipment maintenance, building security and upkeep, and residential property maintenance. You will directly manage a team of three mechanics while ensuring all company vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, shop facilities, and ten townhome properties operate at the highest standard.
As a rapidly growing organization, this role requires strong ownership, accountability, and proactive leadership. This position plays a key role in our Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) structure and carries defined responsibilities on our Accountability Chart.

Key ResponsibilitiesThis role holds strict accountability for the following core functions:
- Leadership, Management & Accountability (LMA)
Lead, manage, and hold a team of three mechanics accountable to performance standards.
Set clear expectations, daily priorities, and measurable outcomes.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Maintain detailed documentation, organized shop systems, and strong follow-through.
- Building Security & Facility Maintenance
Oversee shop facility cleanliness, upkeep, and organization while managing costs responsibly.
Maintain building systems and coordinate repairs as needed.
Ensure secure yard organization, material storage, and delivery coordination.
Monitor and maintain building security and safety measures.
Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
Perform and coordinate maintenance for ten company-owned townhome properties (including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and appliance repairs).
- Equipment Logistics & Deployment
Coordinate equipment, trailer, and vehicle allocation to field crews.
Ensure all equipment is staged, functional, and deployment-ready.
Work closely with field leadership to prioritize based on project schedules.
Proactively minimize field downtime through planning and communication.
- Fleet & Equipment Maintenance
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles, trailers, skid steers, mini excavators, dozers, and work trucks.
Prioritize and coordinate repairs with field leadership.
Maintain service records, inspection logs, insurance documentation, registrations, and DOT/OSHA compliance records.
Track maintenance costs and assist leadership with budgeting and forecasting.
- Field Communication & Operational Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment-related issues.
Communicate clearly with Project Managers and Crew Leaders regarding repair timelines and priorities.
Assess urgency of breakdowns and allocate shop resources accordingly.
Ensure reliable turnaround times and maximum equipment uptime.
- Required
Must reside locally within a reasonable commuting distance of Valles Mines, MO.
Proven experience supervising mechanics or maintenance personnel.
Strong hands-on mechanical and general handyman skills.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
Valid drivers license.
- Preferred
Class A CDL.
Experience with DOT compliance regulations.
Proven experience managing fleet maintenance programs.
Background in construction, heavy civil, or industrial environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge of work trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Bilingual communication skills (Spanish/English).

$25.00 $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
