Director of Operations at Bell International Laboratories, Inc – Eagan, Minnesota

Position Summary:

The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of production, compounding, maintenance, and sanitization processes. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in operations management within the personal care manufacturing industry. The Director of Operations will ensure efficient, cost-effective operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational departments, including production, compounding, maintenance, and sanitization.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (GMP, ISO, FDA, etc.).
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
• Manage and optimize the production process to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized to meet operational and safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, R&D, and Supply Chain, to support new product development and process improvements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive accountability.
• Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure proper training and development of operational staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the personal care or related manufacturing industry.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Certification in operations management (e.g., APICS, PMP) is a plus.
