Position Summary
The Clinical Team Lead supports the Practice by leading and mentoring the clinical team, coordinating patient care across disciplines, and ensuring smooth, efficient workflows that support exceptional patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with managing the day-to-day patient flow and assisting clinical team in providing care according to the highest professional standards.
- Take an active part in the delivery of care.
- Ensure that appropriate, accurate and concise records are maintained at all times (including patient records, mandatory staff training records, planned/unplanned leave, etc.)
- Respond promptly to comments, complaints or issues raised by patients or families, escalating to Practice Manager as appropriate.
- Assist with the implementation of evidence-based standards and guidelines for practice; participate in developing, implementing, and regularly revising the Safety/OSHA standards.
- Maintain and manage state immunization registry.
- Maintain and manage inventory of all clinical supplies and vaccines (state and private) for responsible locations.
- Keep up to date with changing policies, practices and innovations within clinical and pediatrics, and contribute to, and be supportive of, on-going professional and service developments at the Practice.
- Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership, demonstrating clinical competence and expertise in pediatric care, display a sound knowledge of symptom management at all times.
- Act as a resource to clinical staff in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care.
- Be familiar with, and ensure all clinical staff is familiar with, and adhere to Practice policies/procedures and guidelines; provide coaching / training as appropriate.
- Provide coaching and mentoring as well as supervision to the front-line staff where appropriate in order to assist them in their role.
- Maintain a high standard of work performance, attendance, appearance, and punctuality.
- Ensure compliance with legal and professional requirements in clinical practice and documentation
- Maintain strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Adhere and exemplify safe work practices according to OSHA and Practice policies, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrate dedication to the mission, vision, values, and goals of the organization.
- Regular and reliable attendance including attending monthly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED
- An active, unrestrictive RN or LPN license to practice in the state of North Carolina (NC)
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible Pediatric experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Flexibility to provide occasional support at other Rainbow Pediatrics clinic locations, as needed, to support operational and patient care
- Availability to work a half-day Saturday rotation schedule once every 4–5 weeks
- Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
- Triage experience, preferred
- Coaching and mentoring others
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in nursing
- Triage experience
- More than 2 years of pediatrics experience in the outpatient, inpatient, or emergency department setting
- Bilingual Spanish
