The Opportunity

You will step into a high-impact role as the technical "first responder" for Northern Wolves Inc., taking ownership of critical service operations across New York City. This position offers the autonomy to master complex diagnostics and the responsibility of restoring essential climate systems for high-profile commercial clients. You are not just a technician; you are a vital problem-solver who thrives when the pressure is on and the solution isn't obvious.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Lead independent diagnostic and repair efforts for diverse commercial HVAC systems in office buildings, schools, and retail spaces.

  • Restore equipment operation under urgent conditions by identifying root causes in refrigeration, airflow, and electrical circuits.

  • Execute high-level troubleshooting on VRF/VRV systems, rooftop units, and sophisticated commercial controls.

  • Interpret complex wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings to perform precise system startups and commissioning.

  • Communicate technical findings and follow-up recommendations clearly to both office staff and high-value customers.

  • Support the estimating team by identifying large-scale repair scopes and necessary system upgrades during service visits.

  • Maintain a high-functioning service vehicle and inventory to ensure readiness for immediate emergency deployment.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.

  • Proven mastery of electrical troubleshooting including contactors, relays, sensors, and safeties.

  • Advanced diagnostic proficiency in refrigeration circuits and system sequences.

  • Documented experience servicing VRF/VRV systems, heat pumps, and air handlers.

  • Ability to operate with total independence in the field while maintaining a professional presence.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Specialized manufacturer training with Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Trane, Carrier, or Honeywell.

  • Working knowledge of boiler service and basic chiller operations.

  • Experience navigating the specific building codes and logistical demands of the NYC metropolitan area.
