J&A Glass is hiring a Junior Project Manager to support our commercial glazing team. This is an opportunity for someone with construction or skilled-trade experience to learn the office side of managing projects.

Our work includes storefronts, curtain wall systems, entrances, door hardware, and interior glass. You will work alongside experienced Project Managers to learn how these projects move from contract award through installation and closeout.

About the Position

You will help keep project information organized, follow up on materials, and coordinate with customers and field crews. The role includes office work and jobsite visits.

Previous experience holding a Project Manager title is not required. We are looking for someone who understands construction, pays attention to details, and follows through.

You will begin with assigned tasks under a Project Manager’s guidance. As your skills develop, you will take responsibility for more of the project.

What You Will Do

• Review drawings and specifications with the Project Manager. Identify questions before they affect purchasing or installation.

• Assist with material takeoffs, order preparation, submittals, and shop drawing coordination.

• Track order confirmations, fabrication schedules, and deliveries. Flag delays early.

• Gather updates from field crews, suppliers, and customers. Bring scope, cost, or schedule concerns to the Project Manager.

• Help maintain job cost records and prepare change order documentation for review.

• Keep project files current so the office and field have the information they need.

• Visit jobsites to document progress and help identify items requiring follow-up.

• Assist with punch lists, billing information, warranties, and project closeout.

What We Are Looking For

• A background in construction or the skilled trades. Glazing, carpentry, or related experience is preferred.

• Basic understanding of construction drawings and jobsite operations.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, with a willingness to learn our project management software.

• Ability to organize information and keep track of deadlines.

• Clear communication with both office staff and field crews.

• Willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and apply what you learn.

• Reliable follow-through on assigned work.
