SUMMARY
Responsible for operating yard jockey truck to move trailers and trucks to appropriate docks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn and perform specific safety and operational procedures for jockey truck and other tractor trailers; including daily inspection, and troubleshooting of maintenance issues.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and ensure they are in proper working condition
  • Notify maintenance and assist with equipment issues as needed.
  • Drive and operate vehicle in and around the plant and storage lot/staging area.
  • Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack as needed.
  • Must be able to back a tractor trailer into a dock door.
  • Check fluids and fill fuel when needed
  • Must be able to set refrigerated unit temperatures and turn them on and off.
  • Must be able to drop and hook trailers.
  • Perform other tasks as requested during slower times including assisting where necessary in all aspects of the potato packing process.
