GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Plant Life Foods is the production and distribution company for SOHO Juice Co. Plant Life Kitchen Prep Associates are primarily responsible for producing, packaging, and distributing plant-based food products to the SOHO Juice locations in Florida. Plant Life’s mission is to innovate wholesome plant-based products for every lifestyle. We believe when you consume food, it should be for a purpose. SUMMARY

Kitchen Prep Associates are responsible for assembling, mixing, packaging, and storing ingredients used to make Plant Life food products. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Producing base food products by understanding basic verbal and written instructions of the recipes as directed
• Measuring ingredients accurately using the metric system and scales
• Perform production duties such as lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the leaders
• Executing company objectives to improve constantly
• A Willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to handle multiple products in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Being punctual & detail-oriented
• Maintain the work area and equipment clean and orderly and follow prescribed safety regulations as set by my management (subject to change based on company needs)
• Ensuring adherence to food safety procedures
• Working with standard kitchen equipment
• Works at a reasonable and steady pace
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization

SHIFTS

• 8-hour shifts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Required to stand for long periods, repetitive movements
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to handle frozen food products

• May also frequently bend, stoop, squat, push, pack, unpack and pull boxes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Eligible to work for any employer in the United States
• Proven work experience in a production kitchen (commissary) role is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter, and have a positive attitude.

PREFERRED

• Knowledge of vegan and gluten-free/allergen-friendly foods and products.
