Job Summary

The Avera Information Technology Cybersecurity internship will provide the student with the opportunity to apply classroom learning in real world applications. The intern will provide first level compliance monitoring and investigations. Assist with forensics analysis and fact gathering. Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for specific applications, services, networks and servers as required and will gain experience on the critical role information security plays in the healthcare environment.

Education and/or Experience

• Interns must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited college, university or technical institute.
• Candidates with faculty recommendations are preferred.
• Interns should have a strong interest in expanding their knowledge base within Information Technology in a healthcare setting.
• Coursework in information technology or related field preferred. Campus and community involvement is encouraged. Candidates with faculty recommendations are preferred.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80hrs/2wks
