Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prepares cash, records deposits and reconciles bank accounts and ATMs daily.
- Prepares daily operating and cash flow reports.
- Responsible for month-end journal entries and reconciliations of various general ledger accounts.
- Performs various statistical analysis based on actual financial data.
- Responsible for job cost and fixed asset accounting.
- Ensures compliance with Federal Withholding and Reporting law.
- Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for financial functions.
- Provides accounting functions as needed for department.
- Maintain professionalism at all times when working with and responding to team members and/or guests.
- Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations. Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum one (1) year of accounting experience.
- Must be able to successfully complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery during employment.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Depreciation Solutions a plus.
- Must have strong math skills and the ability to accurately calculate in all units of measure.
- Attention to detail and high level of energy required
- Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute, written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with team members and management is mandatory.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without difficulty.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the business needs.
