Job Description

Outdoor Living Supply is looking for a highly organized Trucking & Purchasing Coordinator to support inbound trucking, purchasing, freight documentation, inventory coordination, and local delivery activities in the Rexburg, ID area.

In this role, you will coordinate with quarries, third-party carriers, suppliers, store leadership, yard teams, and internal departments to help ensure products arrive accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, comfortable working with multiple priorities, and able to keep administrative processes moving in a fast-paced environment.

    • What You'll Do
  • Facilitate inbound third-party trucking for quarry pickups supporting store operations
  • Coordinate with third-party carriers, quarries, and internal teams to support timely inbound product movement
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, material purchase orders, and freight purchase orders for incoming products and transportation expenses
  • Support purchasing activities by coordinating product needs and order details with internal partners
  • Review, process, and route invoices and related documentation accurately and timely
  • Partner with yard staff to coordinate purchasing activities and cycle counts
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established processes in NetSuite and other OLS systems
  • Coordinate with the Store Manager and local team regarding trucking needs that affect inbound product flow
  • Support outbound trucking coordination as needed, including primary coordination of local outbound deliveries
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, quarries, carriers, and internal partners
  • Identify routine issues, determine appropriate solutions, and communicate updates promptly
  • Follow all company safety, security, and operating procedures
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance according to scheduled shifts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in purchasing, logistics, transportation coordination, inventory, or a related administrative field preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Accurate data-entry and recordkeeping skills
  • Strong general math skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make timely, accurate decisions and resolve routine issues proactively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with internal and external partners
  • Resourceful, dependable, and proactive approach to problem-solving
    • Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, and distinguish colors
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, feel, and smell
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Ability to periodically work in an outdoor distribution or landscape supply yard
    • Work Environment

    Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment. The position may periodically require working outside in a distribution yard around vehicles and equipment that create moderate noise. Outdoor work may involve hot, cold, or inclement weather conditions.
