About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Paralegal to join our Asbestos Bankruptcy team. This position will play a vital role in preparing and submitting claims to various Asbestos Bankruptcy Trusts. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and comfortable handling sensitive documents and data entry in a high-volume setting. This role is on-site in our new Ft. Lauderdale office.
You Will:
- Prepare, file, and manage asbestos bankruptcy trust claims with accuracy, curing deficiencies as needed
- Input and manage data in internal case management system
- Communicate with Trusts representatives and the firm’s various internal departments such as liens, accounting, intake, and estates
- Assist with complying with audit requests within deadlines
- Conduct frequent client outreach to gather required information and provide claim status updates
- Review various records and case materials including deposition transcripts and provide summaries to the attorneys
- Assist managing attorney with monitoring bankruptcy Court dockets for relevant filings, deadlines, and other related tasks
You Have:
- 1+ year of experience with asbestos bankruptcy trusts or other legal claims filing processes (strongly preferred)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A client-focused mindset and ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines
- High attention to detail
- College degree strongly preferred

Salary Range: $25-$32 per hour
The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
