Certified Nurse Midwife in North Easton, Massachusetts at Signature Healthcare

Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is seeking an experienced certified nurse midwife for a full time opportunity. The certified nurse midwife will function as a Laborist in our labor and delivery unit within Brockton Hospital, as well as see patients in our office based outpatient practice. The schedule will be determined but is expected to consist of twelve (12) hour shifts in hospital, and eight (8) hour sessions in the outpatient practice. Office setting practice includes independent management of well-women, low risk obstetric and gynecologic patients, as well as co-management of at risk gynecologic and obstetric patients. Laborist Duties to Include: • Independent intra partum and postpartum management of low risk women and co-management of women at risk • Interpretation of antepartal fetal testing • Triage of antepartel patients on labor and delivery • Consult with attending obstetrician and/or perinatologist as indicated • Co-manage with assessment/admission/transfer of high risk patients to tertiary care center • Function independently and collaboratively with the attending on call obstetrician to assess, manage low to moderate risk intra partum patients • Assess, manage, and discharge patients in the post partum period • Surgical first assist with C-sections • Telephone triage/task management of nurse midwifery patients • Participate in daily huddle/board rounds on labor and delivery as a member of the obstetric team • Facilitate growth and development of nursing staff, new hires, orientees, and students on the labor and delivery unit Qualifications: • Must have completed a nurse midwifery program • Must be licensed as a Certified Nurse Midwife • Experience preferred • Language skills preferred • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively Our certified nurse midwives are viewed as a very integral part of our OBGYN and Labor and Delivery Team .There is no night call involved in this role.
