Job Description

Description:

Engineering excellence, built on people-first values.

At LUZCO, we’re more than an engineering firm — we’re a familia. We pair technical excellence with a culture rooted in respect, flexibility, and genuine care for one another. Here, you're known by name, supported as a whole person, and encouraged to bring your authentic self to work with competitive benefits, and the flexibility to support life both inside and outside of work.

We’re proud to be a 2025 and 2026 Best Place to Work in St. Louis and a woman-owned, minority-owned boutique firm, delivering impactful engineering solutions in a workplace where people feel valued and empowered to grow.

Why You’ll Love LUZCO

  • Benefits that take care of you: Top-notch medical, dental, and vision insurance; a competitive 401k match; generous PTO; student loan repayment assistance; and an employee recognition platform that celebrates your wins big and small.
  • Flexibility that fits your life: We get that life doesn’t always stick to a schedule. You’ll work with your supervisor to create a schedule that’s flexible and works for both you and the team.
  • Diversity that fuels innovation: Our team brings together a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. That diversity isn’t just something we talk about; it’s what drives our creativity and helps us find better ways to solve problems.
  • Growth that feels personal: Whether you’re continuing your education, earning new certifications, or stepping into new challenges, we’re here to help you grow in the direction that’s right for you. You’ll collaborate with experienced mentors and leaders who want to see you succeed.
  • A culture that gives back: We’re passionate about our communities. Every year, we dedicate paid time off for volunteering and encourage our team to use their talents to make a difference whether that’s mentoring students, serving local nonprofits, or getting hands-on in community projects.
  • A workplace that feels like you: We keep things relaxed and welcoming. Expect weekly happy hours, team lunches, a stocked kitchen, dogs in the office, and a casual dress code. It’s a space where you can be yourself and do your best work.

The Role

Kickstart your career in construction and outage management with a role that puts you right in the action. As an Associate Construction & Outage Sequencer, you’ll work alongside experienced team members to help plan, coordinate, and keep critical transmission projects running smoothly. If you’re detail-oriented, love solving problems, and are excited to learn something new every day, this is your chance to grow fast, make an impact, and be part of a team that’s got your back.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and executive stakeholders through clear written and verbal updates
  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, documentation, and project-related communications
  • Monitor job site activity to ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and project requirements, and document findings accordingly
  • Work independently to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and support ongoing project execution while collaborating with team members
  • Lead and actively participate in project meetings, contributing insights and helping drive discussions forward
  • Perform field audits of construction crews to ensure work aligns with project documents, quality standards, and schedule expectations
  • Identify, document, and communicate deficiencies, non-conformances, and corrective actions with internal teams and clients
  • Maintain accurate project documentation through daily reports, photographs, and other reporting tools
  • Coordinate field and project activities to ensure effective teamwork and project alignment
  • Support construction-related negotiations, including change orders, on behalf of the client
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to lessons learned and process enhancements
  • Develop a working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and relevant design and construction standards
  • Collect and manage field data using tools such as laptops, tablets, GPS devices, and other equipment
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and performance expectations are met
  • Travel up to 50% to project sites, including extended stays near job locations as needed (per diem provided)
  • Support additional project and team needs as required
Requirements:
