Job Description
The Volunteer Coordinator at TrueNorth Partners Consulting is an entry-level operational role designed to manage, organize, and grow the firm’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and community volunteer initiatives. If you have one year of experience in customer service, campus leadership, event planning, or basic administrative support, this role offers an excellent path into corporate operations.
Your main goal is to be the logistical engine behind our volunteer events, keeping both our employee volunteers and non-profit partners connected and organized.
Role Overview
Department: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / Human Resources
Position Type: Full-Time, Entry-Level
Experience Required: 1 year of general administrative, retail, hospitality, campus leadership, or customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Event Logistics & Coordination
Set up calendars, coordinate logistics, and schedule employee volunteer shifts for community dinners, food drives, and local non-profit events.
Serve as the friendly, go-to point of contact for employees who want to sign up for volunteer shifts.
Prep event materials, coordinate sign-in sheets, and ensure volunteers have the details they need (dress code, parking, hours) before they arrive.
Non-Profit Partner Communication
Check in regularly with our local community partners to confirm upcoming volunteer needs and shift capacities.
Gather feedback after events to make sure our team is meeting the community partner's expectations.
Tracking & Simple Data Management
Keep our internal database updated with volunteer hours, participation numbers, and event feedback.
Use basic tools (like Excel, Google Workspace, or standard scheduling software) to maintain accurate records of team impact.
Internal Promotion
Help write short, engaging updates for internal newsletters or the company portal to promote upcoming volunteer opportunities and celebrate team impact.
