We’re looking for a caring and experienced Cook to assist in the overall management of the day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen through the conscientious application of Inspire Early Education standards to achieve our mission statement.

What You’ll Do:

Responsible for cooking, baking, and food preparation Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needsMaintain children’s allergy list regularly.Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies, and replenishing dishware and cookwareFollow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventoryComplies with all health regulations and the company’s best practicesUpkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly dutiesOccasionally required to prepare food for field trips, school-age programs, and community events.Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time to meet the needs of the daycare centers.

Who You Are

Required:

Current Food Handler Certification2 years of cooking and/or kitchen-related experienceValid driver's license and a clean driver’s abstract.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Clean criminal record check

Preferred

Experience working with vulnerable populationsExperience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
