This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role sitting at the intersection of Legal, Finance, and Sales, designed for someone who thrives in structuring and scaling commercial operations. You will act as the operational backbone of deal execution, ensuring contracts, pricing, and revenue structures are both efficient and strategically aligned. The role combines legal operations expertise with commercial finance acumen to enable faster, more scalable, and more compliant decision-making. You will oversee the full lifecycle of commercial agreements, from structuring and negotiation through execution and optimization. In parallel, you will build and refine legal systems, tools, and workflows that support business growth. This is a highly visible position working closely with executive leadership to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes across the organization.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own and optimize the end-to-end commercial and legal operations framework, ensuring deals, systems, and financial structures are scalable and aligned with business goals:

  • Lead commercial deal structuring and advisory, partnering with Sales and Finance to balance revenue objectives, risk, and legal considerations.
  • Oversee contract negotiation and lifecycle management, ensuring efficient progression from drafting to execution and signature.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support pricing strategy, multi-year deal structuring, and revenue optimization.
  • Own and improve Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, templates, and negotiation playbooks to standardize commercial agreements.
  • Design and implement legal operations workflows, dashboards, and KPIs to track contract velocity, spend, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships and legal vendors to ensure cost control and performance optimization.
  • Act as a cross-functional liaison between Legal, Finance, Sales, and IT to align processes and drive operational excellence.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong experience across legal operations, commercial finance, and SaaS deal structuring, with a focus on process optimization and data-driven decision-making:

  • 5+ years of experience in Legal Operations, Commercial Finance, Sales Operations, or related roles in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including P&L analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS contracting, revenue recognition principles, and commercial deal structuring.
  • Hands-on experience with CLM platforms, eBilling tools, and contract workflow automation systems.
  • Ability to translate complex legal and financial concepts into clear business insights for executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and comfort working with large datasets and operational metrics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across Legal, Finance, Sales, and Engineering/IT teams in a dynamic environment.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive compensation package and strong support for professional growth within a flexible work environment:

  • Salary range: $150,000–$180,000.
  • Health benefits including medical (HSA options), dental, and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Life and AD&D insurance fully covered by the employer.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Flexible time off policy, plus paid holidays and scheduled company-wide closure periods.
  • Remote work flexibility with a collaborative hybrid/virtual structure.
  • 6 weeks of paid parental leave.
