JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- Team function is to demonstrate compliance to Industry Safety Standards, and the engineer will be working alongside our design and development teams to review a range of Battery, Charger, and Powertrain components to ensure requirements are understood and met.
- Work within applicable standards and regulatory requirements for electrified products across different regions.
- Conduct risk assessments, standards evaluations, and compliance reviews using established methodologies.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to provide product safety and regulatory compliance guidance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Requirements and risk review: Work with the team to understand product requirements and identify appropriate risk mitigations for new products.
- Engineering collaboration: Discuss requirements with engineering teams and support the development of technical reports that demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.
- Progress tracking: Monitor actions, track progress, and provide regular updates to the team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Engineering
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. An awareness of safety standards is an advantage but not essential.
- High attention to detail when reviewing assessments, technical reports, and cross-functional updates
- Ability to lead efficient product review meetings with clear outcomes and assigned actions
- Risk Identification and Management through structured risk assessments or DFMEA
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Functional Safety of Control Systems
- Product Certification
- Data Manipulation and Presentation (MS Excel, PowerBI, PowerAutomate)

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 100,000 USD per year(IL-Mossville)
