RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, supervise, and provide direction to production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations.
• Manage staffing levels, employee schedules, and shift coverage to meet production requirements.
• Oversee paper machine operations and related equipment to ensure optimal production performance and equipment utilization.
• Monitor daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and operational targets.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and support preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and operational documentation.
• Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensure adherence to customer and company specifications.
• Investigate quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with Quality Assurance to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Analyze production and operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing efforts, and waste reduction programs to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between shifts, departments, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in production meetings and provide updates on shift performance, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience working as a Production Supervisor preferably within a Paper Mill environment
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
