This is a high-impact product role focused on shaping the development of rugged, field-ready hardware used directly on construction sites worldwide. You will define and drive the lifecycle of connected devices that integrate cameras, sensors, and IoT technologies to improve visibility, safety, and productivity in complex construction environments. The role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering, software integration, and real-world field operations, requiring close collaboration with manufacturing partners, engineers, and construction stakeholders. You will be responsible for translating on-site needs into durable, scalable, and commercially viable hardware solutions. Operating in a fast-paced and highly technical environment, you will influence product strategy, supply chain decisions, and go-to-market execution. This position is ideal for a hands-on product leader who thrives in industrial settings and is passionate about building technology that performs in demanding real-world conditions.
- Define the product vision and strategy for construction-focused hardware, aligning product development with market needs, ROI considerations, and customer requirements.
- Develop detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) accounting for rugged environments, safety standards, battery life, durability, and operational constraints.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software systems.
- Oversee hardware development lifecycles from concept through prototyping, manufacturing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Manage supply chain activities, including BOM optimization, component sourcing, cost control, and coordination with contract manufacturers.
- Ensure product quality, compliance, and reliability through close collaboration with production and operations teams.
- Drive go-to-market planning, product launches, and technical enablement materials for sales and field teams.
- Translate customer insights from construction sites into actionable product improvements and innovation opportunities.
- Coordinate training and documentation to ensure successful adoption of hardware solutions by contractors and enterprise clients.
- Monitor product performance in the field and iterate based on usage data, feedback, and operational learnings.
- 3+ years of experience in Hardware Product Management or a similar product leadership role in industrial, construction, or IoT environments.
- Strong background in construction technology, safety equipment, camera systems, or connected hardware products.
- Experience working with video technologies, surveillance systems, or camera-based monitoring solutions is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of hardware development lifecycles, from ideation and prototyping through manufacturing and deployment.
- Proven experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams in complex product environments.
- Familiarity with IoT systems, telemetry solutions, or connected device ecosystems is a strong plus.
- Ability to translate field-level customer needs into clear, structured, and actionable product requirements.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience defining product roadmaps and supporting successful hardware product launches.
- Degree in Engineering, Product Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with comfort working in real-world construction or industrial environments.
- Opportunity to join a fast-scaling technology company transforming construction site visibility and productivity.
- Work on real-world hardware products deployed in complex, high-impact construction environments.
- Exposure to end-to-end product development, from concept through manufacturing and field deployment.
- Collaborative and international working environment with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market standards.
- Paid time off (PTO) in line with regional policies.
- Opportunity to contribute to innovative construction technology shaping the future of the industry.
- Flexible remote working arrangements depending on role and location.
