Job Description

Senior Network Installation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Network Installation Specialist based in United States.

This role plays a critical part in delivering large-scale, mission-critical network infrastructure deployments supporting federal and defense environments. You will lead field installation teams responsible for the design, implementation, and validation of complex IT systems across secure and high-performance networks. The position involves hands-on technical execution combined with field leadership, ensuring installations meet strict engineering, security, and operational standards. You will work across full project lifecycles—from site surveys and design interpretation to installation, configuration, and final acceptance testing. Operating in highly dynamic environments, you will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and on-site technicians to deliver resilient network solutions. This is a high-travel, high-impact role requiring strong technical depth, leadership capability, and the ability to execute under mission-driven timelines.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and execute complex network installation projects from initial site surveys and engineering design through deployment and final system acceptance.
  • Supervise and mentor field installation technicians, ensuring adherence to technical standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
  • Conduct on-site network assessments and translate engineering designs (SES documentation) into practical installation solutions.
  • Install, configure, and test network infrastructure components including routing, switching, MPLS, optical, cryptographic, and timing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to ensure full system functionality and operational readiness.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, including site reports, redlined drawings, Visio diagrams, and as-built configuration records.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment between field execution and technical requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure implementation, network engineering, or field deployment roles.
  • Strong expertise in network systems installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience working with networking protocols, security standards, and infrastructure technologies across complex deployments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering designs and translate them into real-world installation and deployment plans.
  • Strong documentation skills, including experience with Visio, technical reporting, and configuration records.
  • Proven leadership experience managing or guiding technical field teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Active Secret clearance required, with Top Secret preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 90% and work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and equipment handling.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and deployment requirements.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Paid time off, federal holidays, military leave, and generous leave policies.
  • Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and employee assistance programs.
  • Education, certification, and professional training support.
  • Wellness programs and additional employee support resources.
