Job Description

Lead Consultant, Front Office

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Consultant, Front Office based in United States.

This is a client-facing consulting role focused on helping asset and wealth managers implement front-office technology that supports their trading and portfolio management operations.
You’ll own implementation workstreams from discovery through go-live, translating complex client workflows into effective system configurations.
The role combines investment management expertise, consulting, configuration, troubleshooting, and project ownership.
You’ll work closely with traders, portfolio managers, client stakeholders, sales, delivery teams, and product specialists.
The environment is fast-moving and evolving, requiring curiosity, adaptability, sound judgment, and comfort with ambiguity.
You’ll also contribute to team knowledge-sharing and help turn client feedback into meaningful product improvements.
Over time, you’ll develop toward independently owning full implementation lifecycles and becoming a trusted resource for front-office workflows.

Accountabilities
  • Own front-office implementation workstreams end-to-end, from client discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare.

  • Configure client environments by translating trading, portfolio management, and other front-office workflows into appropriate system setup.

  • Work directly with clients to understand their operating models, uncover workflow requirements, and provide clear guidance and education.

  • Partner with sales and delivery teams on active pipeline opportunities, including smaller and fast-turnaround engagements.

  • Troubleshoot time-sensitive implementation and go-live issues, resolving problems independently when possible and escalating appropriately when necessary.

  • Maintain strong ownership of project deliverables and communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Capture client feedback, including challenging feedback, and communicate relevant insights constructively to product teams.

  • Share project knowledge, implementation learnings, and workflow expertise with colleagues to strengthen team capabilities and reduce knowledge silos.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in implementation processes, configuration practices, and client delivery.

  • Develop toward full ownership of the project lifecycle, becoming a capable and independent resource across front-office workflows and system functionality.

Requirements
  • Professional experience in front-office investment management, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, or a related implementation environment.

  • Experience working within a buy-side organization, broker-dealer, or technology/vendor implementation setting.

  • Strong understanding of front-office workflows and the operational needs of traders, portfolio managers, or investment professionals.

  • Demonstrated ability to investigate unfamiliar workflows and understand the underlying business rationale rather than relying solely on established processes.

  • Genuine intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuously learning new products, technologies, and investment-management workflows.

  • Comfort working in an evolving environment where processes and product capabilities may change frequently.

  • Proven ability to independently own responsibilities while maintaining proactive communication with teammates and stakeholders.

  • Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to receive direct feedback professionally, translate it into action, and communicate client needs constructively to internal teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly when working through time-sensitive implementation or go-live issues.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

  • Experience in wealth management is a plus.

  • Experience working in a smaller, rapidly growing organization is an advantage.

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Benefits
  • Target cash compensation of $143,000–$179,000 OTE, with final compensation determined based on experience and expertise.

  • Participation in a company stock plan, subject to applicable plan terms.

  • Unlimited vacation.

  • $0-cost employee insurance plans.

  • Educational reimbursement opportunities.

  • Wellness reimbursement opportunities.

  • Remote work environment.

  • Opportunities for career advancement and increased technical and client-facing responsibility.

  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on products and implementations supporting investment management organizations.

  • Collaborative environment designed to encourage knowledge sharing, professional growth, and meaningful contribution.
