Facilities Maintenance Manager & Service Technician in Belfast, Maine at Viking Inc

Job Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of all company buildings and facilities across 11 locations. This is a hands-on position requiring strong carpentry and general building maintenance skills. The position will perform repairs, complete maintenance projects, identify facility needs and coordinate outside contractors when necessary. In addition, this position would handle Door and Window Service and warranty work for Viking customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair for all locations
• Perform hands-on carpentry, including:
  • Framing and structural repairs
  • Door and hardware repair or replacement
  • Trim, molding and finish carpentry
  • Shelving, cabinets, office spaces and other built-in projects
• Perform or coordinate general maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, flooring, and other building needs.
• Travel required between Viking locations and door and window field service calls to troubleshoot
• Address door and window warranty issues
• File warranty claims for customers
• Obtain estimates and oversee contractors on larger scale projects to ensure work is completed properly and efficiently.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• Proven experience in carpentry and building construction/maintenance

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials
• Proficiency with standard tools

Certifications/Licenses:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Andersen, Loewen, Sierra Pacific Service Technician Certification (can certify after hire)
