• Deliver and distribute building products to assigned customers safely, accurately and on schedule.
• Safely load, secure, handle, transport and unload building materials and heavy cargo.
• Inspect and maintain cargo securement throughout transportation to ensure materials are transported safely.
• Maintain logs and records according DOT regulations.
• Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and well maintained truck.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area, including loading and unloading areas.
• Perform routine inspections and promptly report vehicle, equipment or safety concerns.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries.
• Perform duties safely in all weather conditions and adapt to changing road and job-site conditions.
• Follow all applicable company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience
• Must have Class A Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations).
• Two (2) years truck driving experience required.
• Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications.
• Performs duties in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous flatbed truck driving experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience with mountain driving preferred.
• Experience securing loads with straps and other cargo securement equipment.
• Previous experience delivering building materials or other heavy cargo is a plus.
