Hospice Addendum Coordinator (hybrid)

Position Profile

Provides administrative support to ensure timely completion of Hospice Election Statement Addendum requirements in compliance with Medicare regulations and organizational policies. Primary duties include coordinating the distribution, tracking, receipt, filing, and status monitoring of required hospice addendums; maintaining accurate documentation and tracking systems; following up on outstanding signatures and documentation; and supporting the Quality and Compliance clinical review team through efficient administrative processing. The Hospice Addendum Coordinator serves as a centralized resource for managing addendum workflow activities across all hospice offices. This position does not perform clinical review or make determinations regarding non-covered items, services, or drugs. Clinical review and content validation are completed by designated Quality and Compliance clinical reviewers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates addendum processing.
  • Tracking, addendum completion, and signatures.
  • Communicates effectively and timely.
  • Maintain accurate Medical Record documentation.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic working knowledge of hospice consent requirements.
  • Working knowledge of electronic document programs such as docusign preferred.
  • Good communication and customer relation skills to interact with others in a helpful, cooperative and effective manner.
  • Ability to give and follow written as well as oral instruction.
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing work.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to gather and interpret data from different sources and problem solve.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum one year medical record experience, preferred
  • Minimum one year hospice administrative experience, preferred.
