Mold Polishing Technician in Spokane Valley, Washington at Multifab Inc

Summary

The Mold Polishing Technician is responsible for using hand held and power tools for a variety of different mediums; specifically, for polishing, sanding and supporting the manufacturing process by maintaining and preparing tooling or equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Mold Preparation:

1. Polish /prepare mold cavities and components
2. Inspect parts for quality per customer requirements
3. Wrap and package parts for shipping
4. Participate in inventory counts, as needed
5. Use computer to locate, enter and update information (Microsoft Excel)
6. Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move parts
7. Other duties as assigned

Shop Duties:

1. Assist machinists with mold component production
2. Materials handling and preparation for machining operations using pallet jacks and fork lifts
3. Monitor and assist maintaining inventory of purchased mold components, hardware, and raw material
4. Ensure work assignments are carried out to the highest quality ensuring customer quality and company needs are met

Qualifications

1. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
2. Working knowledge of basic hand tools and shop equipment
3. Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues using decision making and analytical abilities

Physical Work/Environment Requirements

1. Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally complete tasks
2. Willingness to learn and assist with the development of new techniques that will improve efficiency
3. Requires continuous sitting, standing and walking
