$21.22 - $29.59 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various hours per week
*Range includes per diem differential

This position will provide technical equipment and support to assist caregivers and promote effective departmental functioning. You will model a high standard for customer service while responding to requests by phone, in person, or through messaging applications.

This position will collaborate with Biomed engineers to ensure medical equipment is functioning properly, is transported for repairs, or routine maintenance, and is placed back into service in a timely manner.

Qualifications
•Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
•BLS certification required within 90-day conditional period.
•Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel) preferred.
•0-3 years of experience preferred

Responsibilities
•May provide basic troubleshooting of medical devices caregiver needs.
•Assists with providing necessary medical electronic devices to nursing units to ensure the unit has all required equipment available.
•Assists Biomed staff with locating medical devices for scheduled preventive maintenance.
•Helps to maintain an appropriate inventory of medical devices on each unit to ensure minimum disruption of patient care.
•May change batteries in patient tele monitors or wall thermometers.
•May assist with patient room setup ensuring all basic equipment supplies are available in the room. Examples: EKG lead wires, SCD pump tubing, etc.
•May assist patients with the use of MyChart bedside devices such as tablets or TV’s to perform meal ordering, configuring streaming apps, and the MyChart bedside application.
•Assists in training new other patient technology technicians and caregiver staff when needed.
•Acts as a resource for technical device equipment.
•Maintains a current daily knowledge of device availability.
•Patient facing care when need for telemetry lead application or monitor care.
