The 2nd Shift Material Handler (Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse and production environment during evening operations.

This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products accurately and in a timely manner to support manufacturing and shipping operations. The Material Handler works closely with inventory control, production, and shipping teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent delays.

The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment while following all safety protocols and company policies. This position is essential to overall operational efficiency and smooth production flow.

2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in warehouse or material handling (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Basic computer skills for inventory systems and email communication
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance

• Forklift certification or related equipment certifications
• Experience working 2nd shift or non-standard shifts
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse best practices
• Experience with cycle counts and inventory control procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
• Store materials in designated locations and maintain accurate inventory records
• Pick and stage materials for production and shipping based on work orders
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and storage areas
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve discrepancies
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or inventory problems promptly

Forklift operation and inventory management skills are essential for safely moving materials and maintaining accurate stock levels. Proficiency with warehouse management systems ensures real-time tracking and supports production scheduling.

Attention to detail and physical stamina help ensure materials are handled correctly and efficiently. Knowledge of OSHA standards and cycle count procedures enhances safety and inventory accuracy. Strong communication and teamwork skills support smooth coordination across departments during the 2nd shift.
