Medical Assistant - Upson Women's Services in Thomaston, Georgia at Upson Regional Medical Center

Greets and assists all patients and/or customers who present in physician office. Put together daily patient charts. Attain lab and referral information for physician review. Readies patients for examination and assists physician during patient encounter. Answers patient questions and educates regarding minor office procedures. Maintains medical records information for patient visits, other referrals, insurance pre-certification information, and billing information to complete the patient office encounter. Will be required to work all shifts, as needed, including holidays. Frequent travel to multiple office locations. Offers friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient to ensure that the patient has a positive experience while at physician office.

EDUCATION:

-Required: High school diploma or GED

-Desired: Medical Assistant Certification desired

EXPERIENCE:

-Required: Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program or one year related office practice experience.

-Desired: Two or more years experience in an OB/GYN medical office or hospital
