Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategic Planning Analyst in the United States.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and business partnership, designed for a professional who enjoys turning complex and often ambiguous information into clear, decision-ready insights. You will work across commercial and operational functions, helping leaders better understand performance, market dynamics, and emerging risks and opportunities. Rather than focusing on traditional budgeting or forecasting cycles, the emphasis is on shaping strategic thinking through evidence-based analysis. You will combine quantitative rigor with qualitative judgment to build meaningful narratives that influence business direction. Operating in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment, you will act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders. This is a remote-first role with broad exposure across the organization and its evolving business landscape.
- Analyze business performance using financial data, operational metrics, market trends, and qualitative inputs to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and refine hypotheses based on data, pressure-test assumptions, and synthesize insights into clear strategic conclusions.
- Partner with commercial and operational leaders to interpret results and support decision-making through actionable recommendations.
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, compelling narratives tailored for non-financial and executive stakeholders.
- Conduct internal and external analysis to understand broader market dynamics and industry trends affecting business performance.
- Challenge assumptions constructively and guide stakeholders toward deeper, more evidence-based thinking.
- Focus on insight generation and strategic interpretation rather than ownership of budgeting or forecasting processes.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, business analysis, consulting, or other analytically driven roles with strong business exposure.
- Strong financial and analytical foundation, with the ability to interpret business performance beyond traditional accounting or FP&A frameworks.
- Experience working in a consulting-style environment, including structuring ambiguous problems and guiding stakeholders toward decisions.
- Ability to combine quantitative analysis with qualitative judgment to extract meaningful business insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and ask insightful follow-up questions.
- Strong comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced learning environments, with a track record of quickly understanding complex businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver actionable insights that drive decisions, not just descriptive analysis.
- Nice to have: exposure to strategy development, market intelligence, internal consulting, or cross-functional commercial/operational roles.
- Competitive salary with a range aligned to experience and skills ($115,000–$140,000 USD)
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision (US-specific benefits available depending on eligibility)
- Flexible work environment with remote-first arrangements
- Paid time off, holidays, and earned time off (ETO)
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer support
- FSA/HSA options and disability coverage (short- and long-term)
- Tuition reimbursement and learning support for professional development
- Opportunities for career growth in a global, mission-driven organization
- Additional benefits may vary by region, including pension schemes, stock purchase plans, and lifestyle perks.
